History

After World War II, many ethnic Germans (the Donauschwaben) were forcibly relocated from their homelands and found there way to the United States. Many of the immigrants did not know where to find work to support their families. Groups of immigrants came together to form social clubs. These social clubs assisted immigrants from all over the world in their transition to a new life in the US.

As a result, In 1957 the Danubia Soccer Club was born. The newly formed soccer club competed in local leagues in the area against rival soccer/social clubs.

The Youth sector of Danubia Soccer Club grew tremendously since 2014. 2014-present saw the Danubia Soccer Club Youth Sector capture three outdoor EPYSA State Championships and four EPYSA Indoor State Championships. The Women’s majors have also won two EPSA State Championships in 2019 & 2020.

Presently, the club embraces its historical roots while simultaneously representing the diverse cultural community in the northeast Philadelphia area. Playing in local leagues, tournaments and cups, the youth side has managed to overflow the club house with trophies.

In the past few years the club has grown exponentially in the Philadelphia. Most of the youth teams participate in the EDP, APL and Inter County Soccer Leagues. Our teams travel yearly to the Bethesda Cup, Jefferson Cup and many other prestigious tournaments along the east coast.
